About play, resilience, and coming full circle

Welcome back, Rachael here—this October, we’re tapping into the themes of play, resilience, and rediscovering your vitality at every stage of life. As the seasons shift, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on our goal of living life well for as long as possible. What’s been fueling your energy lately?

“I’m ready to tackle life again”

This might just be my favourite Yeu Zone story yet! Meet Stephen Moon, a remarkable endurance athlete whose journey is a testament to resilience. From overcoming two major cycling accidents to mastering mental and physical balance, Stephen shares his insights on recovery, mental well-being, and how he stays in the game and energised no matter what life throws at him.

Coming full circle with Yeu

Back in 1991, my dad Steve launched his first sports nutrition company (Maxim) from a humble farm shed in the north of England, long before e-commerce and social media transformed the landscape. I was born the following year, so I grew up in a health start-up world, with my Mum helping out with the business and often surrounded by boxes of product samples!

Partnering with pioneering researchers and elite athletes, my Dad introduced creatine (yes, you read that correctly) to the world at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics under the brand Ergomax C150. This bold move helped athletes boost their performance, with five taking home gold medals, setting the stage for a revolution in sports nutrition.

With Yeu, we’re coming full circle. 32 years later. Co-founders. A new nutrition mission.

Revive the play

Did you know that play isn’t just for kids? We love how this article explores the transformative power of play in adulthood and how it can significantly enhance your mental health. Research shows that engaging in playful activities—like building puzzles, creating art, or even just tossing a ball around—can shift your mindset and improve your overall energy levels.
