Our co-founding duo

Meet father and daughter, Steve and Rachael — 32 years apart but two peas in a pod. Inspired by family members walking through life with a positive attitude towards health and growing older, Yeu is their commitment to sharing this message with the world.

How it all began

At the heart of Yeu is a family committed to embracing challenges and seizing every opportunity that comes their way. Following the motto, "you'll never know if you don't try," our co-founders, Rachael and Steve, have been on journeys marked by activity, adventure, and the pursuit of an extraordinary life.

Despite the physical distance that sometimes separated them, their shared passion for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle always kept them close.

You’re never too old

As Rachael entered her 30s and Steve reached the milestone of 60, they both realized the world around them seemed determined to pigeonhole them into the boundaries of aging stereotypes.

Media and marketing relentlessly conveyed the message that getting older meant sacrificing the joy and excitement of life. Not willing to accept this, Rachael and Steve agreed that age should not dictate your vitality.

The inception of Yeu

Rachael and Steve decided to create a brand that empowers individuals with an abundant and ambitious mindset. Yeu was born with a mission to craft nutrition products that not only nourish the body but also uplift the spirit, ensuring that regardless of age, everyone can continue exploring the unique contours of their life's story.

The essence of Yeu lies in putting a smile on your face and fostering a thriving spirit that stands resilient against the constraints of time.

Meet Steve

“That’s me, Steve, on a bike and with a haircut that hints at when this footage was recorded.”

  • Turning 60 in 2021 felt like my first real ‘landmark’ birthday. Entering this phase of my life was a surreal step into a bizarre reality. One in which I still wake up feeling like a kid every day — stoked to discover what a new day might hold and plotting out a route for my bike ride over breakfast.

Yet on the other hand also one in which I am learning to live with the loss of dear friends and being sold products with the label ‘50+’ on the front as if that’s my name these days.

Perhaps it’s my 1970s ‘free range’ upbringing, bike racing, and adolescence spent at punk rock concerts speaking… but if someone brings up the idea of retirement or ‘slowing down’, I feel like shouting ‘I’m not fading out like that! I’m not done yet!”

Yeu isn’t about avoiding these years ‘over the hill’ — but embracing them head-on and heck, maybe even making them count more than the first half!

As a ‘full circle’ business (ad)venture, Yeu has brought me right back to my entrepreneurial roots. Around the time I first became a Dad my first start-up company, Maxim Sports Nutrition, was breaking out into the market. Now, an odd 30 years later, I see a new opportunity to bring the right nutrition to the right people at the right time.

So, here’s to a new and fantastic journey,

    Steve Jennings
    Founding CEO of Yeu

Meet Rachael

“I am days away from running a marathon; something I never thought I would feel well enough to do again.”

  • At the heart of Yeu is a simple belief: longevity isn't just about stacking up more years on your life calendar; it's about infusing life into those years.

Here's how it started for me.

Picture this: my late 20s, a whirlwind teaching career, and a not-so-friendly diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease. It was a wake-up call, a neon sign screaming at me to hit the brakes and reassess my life. Little did I know, this moment would be the catalyst for a mission – a mission to make healthy longevity possible for more people.

This wasn't a solo mission; from day 1 I knew there was only one person who I wanted to build something with – my dad. Honestly, if I could survive a 120km tandem bike ride in the wilderness of Vancouver Island with him steering, I was pretty sure we could work together to grow a new venture!

So here we are at the very start of something very cool. We are getting ready to roll out our first daily supplement and 4 years since my auto-immune problems started, I am days away from running a marathon; something I never thought I would feel well enough to do again.

My message to you? Don't just be our customer; be our companion on this wild ride. Join the Yeu Zone, get involved, and help us create healthy longevity products that help people navigate life's twists and turns.

    Thanks for being here,
